Software`s modular structure extensively boosts reliability because all units operate as independent programs. If one part stops working, other components go on running. For instance if the `capture` module freezes, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be started by movement, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on remote pc through Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
